Because working fulltime and raising two small children was not enough. I decided that this year I would challenge myself to bake one cake every week in 2012. Wish me luck!

I'm all about subtle frostings, too. When it's super sweet (or worse- crunchy!) it's just overboard. No one needs that much sugar. That's why I tend to lean on cream cheese frostings or simple things like whipped cream or a sauce.
